West Cheshire Credit Union has been serving members in the Flintshire area since 2019 and as a well-established credit union has the experience, knowledge and dedicated staff to ensure you as a member receive the utmost quality service.

Formed in 2004 The West Cheshire Credit Union has grown its solid reputation through working with, and being supported by a number of major housing associations in the areas they cover, in addition to the NHS, local charities and Cheshire West and Chester Council.  Developing close partnerships and always putting our members at the heart of what we do has allowed the membership base to progress toward 5000 local people being part of, and owning the credit union.

Flintshire Area

As mentioned, if you live, work or study in the area you are eligible to join West Cheshire Credit Union and start enjoying the benefits of credit union membership whether that be the ability to apply for a cost effective & affordable loan or finding a secure, safe haven for your savings *

Family Loan – Apply for up to £800 (no prior saving requirement)

Our most popular product the ‘Family Loan’ provides those who are in receipt of Child Benefit with the ability to apply for up to £800 with repayments made directly from their Child Benefit.

There’s no pre saving requirement and a simple application process which can be completed online, alternatively, you can pop into one of our branches where our friendly staff are on hand to help.

Repayments over 12 months equate to £19 per week and interest charged at 42.57% on a reducing balance.

Saver Loans – Apply for up to £2000 (must save for six weeks prior to application)

Our ‘Saver Loans’ of between £100 and £2000 are designed for those who may be looking to borrow a larger amount.  Applicants must save for a minimum of six weeks prior to application and the limit is based on a four times savings.  For example if you have saved £250 over a minimum of six weeks, you could apply for £1000. 

Previous Members of ‘All Flintshire Credit Union

Some of you may have been previous members of ‘All Flintshire Credit Union’ who regrettably went into administration in January 2022.  We would welcome any of you to become a member of West Cheshire Credit Union so that you can still retain the benefits of being a member of the credit union movement.
